Samrala-based Gurleen Khaira has written a book, ‘OET (Occupational English Test)’, which will make it easier for nurses to know about the language skills required to go to Australia, New Zealand and some other countries.Gurleen, a resident of Khaira village near Samrala, is the first Indian author and forth from across the world to write a book on the OET.
The OET is an English language test designed for health professionals who seek to register and practice in Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Singapore, and Dubai. It provides a valid and reliable assessment of four language skills – listening, reading, writing and speaking – with an emphasis on communication in healthcare professional settings. However, a dearth of high-quality preparation materials has been a concern of test-takers at large. This new book from Gurleen Khaira is designed to fill that gap in training and knowledge. This book provides one with the essentials needed to score a passing grade in the OET speaking and writing modules, including the most effective strategies, extensive practice, and precise description of how these modules are scored.
